These have gone unused for almost 16 years, yet I still take them everywhere.

The Morning News

If you happen to find yourself in West Vlaanderen over the next three months, I highly suggest a visit to BE-PART, in Waregem, where you can see The Morning News, a beautiful exhibition of work selected from the FRAC Nord – Pas de Calais‘ collection, with a a few new works commissioned specifically for the show.

With names like Darboven, Parreno, Mullican, Nauman, and Pettibon, amongst others, you wont be disappointed.

If you’ve ever had the opportunity to hear him speak, you’ll know what I mean.

I count myself lucky, having had that pleasure on several occasions over the years. The latest of which was this past weekend, at the launch of his show Dicht Bij, at BAK, Utrecht, with the Stedelijk Museum’s brand new director, Ann Goldstein.

If you missed it, make sure to check the Former West website, for the video reportage, or even better, see the show.
